Final in Florence.

I think both Maroney and Parris will have outstanding seasons next year. Fricking and Foggle will both be top qbs as well.

This was an exciting game with a plethora of big plays despite the low score. Dixie outplayed Boone in every respect except for the only stat that counts. Congratulations Boone for grinding out the victory.

Dixie had some great chances to take the lead at the end but could not convert.

Dixie's a run oriented team historically.... that one killed me.

Nice win Rebels. See ya in the second round.

They should have been up 28 -0 at the half. Two big plays made 14 points, both came after turnovers.

Sounds like a good gme, anyone have any details?

That was the story of the whole game - interception at the goal line, interception at the 10 yard line, bad snap at the 5 yard line resulting in a 20 yard sack. I could go on but you get the idea.

From what I hear, Boone didn't play their best ball tonight. Still getting the W against a quality team like Dixie is huge.

Too many to relive right now. Dixie ran up and down the field, got in the redzone at least 6 times if not 8. Turned it over every time they got close but twice. BC's offense got in the red zone of Dixie twice. Once on a 60 yard run for a TD and the second time for 40 something yard pass for a TD. Unless you want to count how many times they were in their own red zone, which was half the night. Dixie self destructed over and over and over and over.......

BC had 14 at half on 2 first downs.

Despite all that, it was a great game. I knew that offensively we would struggle. I also knew that defensively we could stop a mack truck, which we did all night long. We will be fine come play off time. Joey needs to get a little more consistent which he will, and the recievers need to catch the ball, which they will. It gets a little bit better each week or at least does not go backwards. Marty and company are running the ball as good as anyone can ask. The running game is exactly what you would want. I like our chances in another 4 weeks of continued improvement each week. 5 weeks till the rematch, see you then.

Wasn't too far off was I ?

Young high school qbs tend to be inconsistent. The kid can make some tough throws and then throw up some that make you scratch your head.

Maroney ran well. Nice job of using his blockers and being patient. I just Dixie is still a year away from top-notch football.
