Nobody is saying this. Who in there right mind would say he shouldn't have been allowed to leave a football game? That just doesn't make sense. What people are saying is that he comes off as extremely petty and lacks self-awareness. He looked like a fool. Everyone knows the 49ers kneel, so he goes to a game and leaves when he sees what he knows he is going to see? Thats simply a waste of time, money, and effort. You want people to stop kneeling, don't give them a platform. How many people were kneeling before Trumps remarks vs. after? It's night and day. The kneeling stuff would have faded away had Trump not said anything. But yeah the players are the ones politicizing, not the person actively involved in politics...

Maybe so, but I think the players in the NFL are a lot more unified than you think on this subject and if you don't think the players across the league are in the ears of those 3 All Week leading up their next game your crazy. BTW, the whole "uncomfortable" notion is simply a weak argument. It's also nothing more than a cheap attempt to try to sound morally superior to someone that simply looked at actual stats that refute the original claim. No one said there weren't bad cops. Just that Kap's claims were off base. But, if you want to continue down that rabbit hole, by all means continue.

Just like you I don't believe kneeling for the anthem is the most effective form of protest, but we are talking about it aren't we? Kaepernick has certainly raised awareness to the issue of police brutality and has at least made people aware that, "hey maybe this is a problem I should at least look into it" instead of turning a blind eye. The problem with your statistics is that this isn't something that will show up in large data samples, because 1 incident out of 1000 is still a very minuscule #. Even Kaepernick himself will tell this to you, 99% of cops are great. But that 1% poses a real threat to african-american communities.

First off, they aren't my stats and you know that. Yes, you and I and some others are talking about it, even though you claim I'm uncomfortable about it, which makes zero sense because if I were I wouldn't talk about it. His mistake was how he did it. A lot of people are only seeing disrespect for flag and country. That's on him for the wrong forum.

Again, he and other prominent African Americans ignore a bigger threat to other African Americans and I have to wonder why. Is it too uncomfortable for them?
