ManOfTroy
Votto is MVP, easily. Give the Most Improved Player to Scooter.
MentschTrachtGottLacht
It's Votto and not even close. Votto is in the NL MVP discussion and will finish in the top 3. Yep.

CincySportsFan
No pitchers in the running? This year's group prefers to walk.
k'd looking
rjs44......Great point!!! Ernie banks was my first thought.I remember Steve Carlton in "72" with the Phillies, winning the Cy Young. He won 27 games that year. Philadelphia as a team won 59. Sometimes players are just that good,no matter how bad the rest of the team is. Hell,I'm showing my age!!! ....lol!!! sumoroyal
Votto reached base in 150 of his 162 games. Most since 1999.
littleluck55
Votto reached base in 150 of his 162 games. Most since 1999. Reached based twice in 107 games. Only players to ever do that: Ruth, Bonds, Boggs, Williams and Gehrig.

NKY Bandit
Scooter is newcomer of the year. Votto is the MVP.
littleluck55
I also just read Votto has only missed 8 games since he has come back from his knee injury in the last 3 years. It's a shame he is being wasted on this Reds team the last few years.
Coach112
Per JJ Cooper, Managing Editor for Baseball America, If Votto struck out in in every one of his next 1,500 PAs, he'd still have a higher career OBP than Tony Perez.
