The METS, best team in baseball, are also the biggest question mark. The Dodgers probably had the best record post all star break, but did sputter a bit in September....I look for NY's offensive firepower to carry them through a 4 game series.

No...I meant what I typed....they record wise tied for the best team in baseball, everyone knows that I am not sold on their ability to backup what their record states.

I hate the Dodgers, but they have the pitching to get it done. I look for them to be in the WS as well.

I have to go with the Dodgers. I might be wrong, but I'm sticking by them.

Already missing Pedro Martinez, the New York Mets suddenly might have to replace pitcher Orlando Hernandez in Game 1 of the playoffs because of a calf injury, too.

 

El Duque felt discomfort in his right calf while he was jogging in the outfield Tuesday as the NL East champions tuned up for their first-round series against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

 

The 40-year-old right-hander, who had been scheduled to start New York's postseason opener, was pulled off the field and was headed for an MRI exam.

 

"Obviously, we're up in the air on who our starter is right now," Mets manager Willie Randolph said. "We have some options, but we're going to wait and see how he feels."

I think the Mets will get sent home in 4 hopefully 3 though. Dodgers are tough and have been on a better roll of late than the Mets have. It's the obvious choice to say the Mets because of their record and the talent but the Dodgers have a lot more playoff experience than the Mets do and that could be a major factor. Furcal, Maddux, Lofton, Kent, Drew, etc!
