Agreed. Simon is better than most of the 2A schools so there would be no sense climbing the ladder to get to Trinity.

TRINITY does not lose to in state teams. This is a witch hunt just to see the Rocks catch an L. Even the best competition from surrounding states can't beat the champs.

So much would depend on the resting and subbing, also getting some sleep. I'm guessing somewhere at the top of 2A they might topple. Even the best kids subbing back and forth are going to get awfully tired eventually.

How many Trinity player sget D1 scholly's on average per year? How many Class A? That might change my mind if there was a huge discrepancy.

Just mail the trophy to T every year. I'm kidding of course. I think there are different philosophies around Louisville and many around the state.

 

1)You are pro T and enjoy winning every year. (T alumni and general bandwagon fans as well as family of current and former players)

 

2)You're against T and wish they didn't play your school. (T's district opponents and 90% of khsaa)

 

3)You enjoy your chances to matchup against the premier football program in the state and have a reasonable to considerable shot at beating them any given year. (X and H)

 

Most teams fold up before the opening kickoff. That's an indictment of the football culture of the state and individual programs. I think it's a good benchmark of where your program is. I'm glad Male kept T on the regular season schedule instead of dodging them until playoffs. The game was closer than the 22-0 score and I look forward to seeing the rematch regardless of the outcome. I know X is excited to knock off the Rocks.
