Trinity vs. The State

Featured Replies

Just wondering if Trinity started playing the worst Class A team and began working their up by playing 8 min quarters and played continual till they got beat in a 4 quarter game. At what team or class do they finally get beat. Or sleep depravation.

Remember they have over 100 players so they could sub a lot in Class A games or let starters sleep when up.

Hahaha! That's actually a pretty cool question. I have no idea what the answer would be!

LOL

I will say Beechwood just by shear exhaustion, apathy, and safety concerns.

Now if they can kill two birds with one stone and combine multiple teams (ex: Berea, Jenkins, Fulton City, Fulton County, Ft. Knox, Caverna and Dayton all combine for one game) then they can drastically change their fortunes.

Stop the games when the running clock starts and they could make it pretty far. Freshmen or JV's could take out a lot of teams along the way allowing the starters to get some sleep.

If Trinity could play them in the order they choose, for example St. X then Eminence, Fulton City and Fulton County, then back to a tougher game followed by some easier one and so on...I honestly think they could run the table in a good year for them. :lol2:

How far through 1A could Trinity get without even having to play their varsity?

All the way probably, maybe Beechwood would cause them to play starters...but I doubt it.

Play the starters against Beechwood, then they sit again for half (or more) of 2A. Rinse and repeat.

If we combined all the Class 1A Teams in the state to make an all star team would they beat Trinity in a game?

How long do they get to prepare?

In a single week setting a combined 1A All-Star team would struggle to beat several teams.

If they had an entire Summer of practices? Most likely they would have a shot.

All summer plus a couple of scrimmages and couple of games.

They could play Simon Kenton first, then get serious and play CovCath.

If they had enough time to prepare, yes they could. That's choosing from an enrollment base, many times larger than Trinity's enrollment and well over 1000 current high school players.

The question then becomes, "are they 1-1 after the CovCath game or 2-0?"

If they don't beat CovCath they don't get a shot at T.

Running clock.
