September 11, 20179 yr Aaron Rodgers put up zero points and threw an INT while being sacked 4 times in the first half today. In the second half, 0 sacks and he throws a TD pass, goes over 300 yards and gets the Packers a win. Even Aaron Rodgers has no chance if his offensive line can't protect him.
September 11, 20179 yr Author Just saw on Mike and Mike that Dalton's official QBR was a whopping 0.6 they said that is the lowest score in the 12 year history of the stat.
September 11, 20179 yr ABSOLUTELY agree, no leader on the field or off, only positive about this is that Marvin will not be back!! As long as he wants to be back, he will be here. Loved the punt with 9 minutes to go from near midfield. Brilliant. Good to see that Marvin hasn't changed his philosophy.
September 11, 20179 yr Just saw on Mike and Mike that Dalton's official QBR was a whopping 0.6 they said that is the lowest score in the 12 year history of the stat. He wasn't that bad, give him a break. It was the third lowest. :lol2: Cincinnati Bengals QB Andy Dalton was historically bad in Week 1 Andy Dalton wasn't just bad on Sunday. He was all-time bad. The Bengals quarterback's performance against the Ravens put him on the list of bottom five single-game Total QBR performances in the history of the statistic, which dates back to 2006. Dalton's traditional numbers were ugly too, but remember that Total QBR condenses a lot more information into a single number than, say, regular passer rating. It considers how credit should be divided with teammates, the down and distance on a quarterback's action plays, the strength of the opposing defense, the rushing contributions of a quarterback, whether plays occur in garbage time, and more. And for Dalton, that all added up for disaster. But at least he can now say he's on a list with Peyton Manning. Below we'll count down the five worst single-game QBR performances since 2006 among starters who had at least 20 action plays in their contest. Keep in mind that QBR is a rate stat, not a counting stat, as some of these quarterbacks did not last a full game. 5. Arizona Cardinals QB John Skelton, Week 11, 2011 at 49ers Total QBR: 0.7 4. Cleveland Browns QB Ken Dorsey, Week 16, 2008 vs. Bengals Total QBR: 0.6 3. Cincinnati Bengals QB Andy Dalton, Week 1, 2017 vs. Ravens Total QBR: 0.6 2. Chicago Bears QB Jay Cutler, Week 4, 2010 at Giants Total QBR: 0.5 1. Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning, Week 10, 2015 vs. Chiefs Total QBR: 0.3
September 11, 20179 yr For your amusement...my wife and I took a selfie at the game just as Dalton threw one of his interceptions. Check out the expression of the guy behind us! I don't think it was planned.

That's why with that criteria I think they said Dalton's was the worst.

In the second half, 0 sacks and he throws a TD pass, goes over 300 yards and gets the Packers a win. Even Aaron Rodgers has no chance if his offensive line can't protect him. True however there were plenty of plays he had time and still didn't do well.
September 12, 20179 yr I know this shocking, but PFF had all 5 starting OL graded as poor. Ced 42.4 Boling 38.7 Bodine 36.2 Hopkins 32.4 Fisher 46.7 Not going to win many football games like that.

Why I know it wasn't good. Many people acted like Ced was bad all game. When in reality he had 3 bad plays. The interior of the line was horrible and was one of the bigger reasons for the rush that got to Dalton and stopping the run game. The bad part of Ced is those three bad plays stood out because Suggs made huge plays on those mistakes.

One of the bigger mistakes was signing Boling back 3 years ago. If they didn't do that Zeitler may still be here.
