September 10, 20179 yr Author I doubt the offense will look this bad all season. So the positive is the defense played well. However now Thursday becomes almost a must win. Umm, the offense could easily look really bad ALL year!! If you can't block ANYBODY , which it doesn't look like they can, you're SUNK!! Ced might be the most wasted first round pick in Bengal history and Fisher was just as bad because on the other side!! Of course, then we show our coaching prowess and leave them 1 on 1, even the tv announcers ripped them over that!!! Gonna be a longgggg year!!
September 10, 20179 yr That makes it seem like the defense played bad. The defense besides for one play played good today. No, they didn't. Two time consuming drives that ate up clock. TOP was a problem. Now the offense from AD to the OL was just pitiful.

There was a lot of pressure up the middle. Also times where Ravens brought more than they could block. The wrs not getting open did the line no favors because it made Dalton hang on to it.

AD will be running for his life, the problem is he can't make plays doing that. The interception in the end zone was a horrible throw. The tipped balls were probably on the o-line. The last one is AJ and a defender he took a chance that AJ usually wins and it was desperation time. Still not a good throw. The fumble was after a pump fake read. No way CED can keep anybody out that long. Probably on AD. AD was awful, buthe was not alone. For those that thought the defense played respectably, hogwash. They ra it down our throat when we knew they were going to run it down our throat. In spite of all that, the Ravens gave us a huge gift to start the second half, the Bengals get nothing. Ball game. I can't imagine a worse team right now.

When you are on the field a lot that will happen. Defensively they basically gave up 13 points. That is a good day for the defense. Not many defenses will keep an offense out of end zone when they only have to go 2 yards. Not to mention one of those long drives were aided by 3 very questionable penalties called on the defense on third down. I'm not worried about the defense at all.

I can't imagine a worse team right now. Defense gave up only 268 total yards. That is great in an nfl game. Defense basically held the ravens to 13 points, which is great in the NFL. The 1 td is on the offense since that tipped interception only made the Ravens have to go 2 yards. The Bengals gave up 153 rush yards but it was on 42 attempts which means the Ravens only averages 3.7 yards per rush. Which would have the Bengals defense in the top 10 in yards allowed per rush. The ravens had two long drives that ended in field goals. With our offense sucking we couldn't afford to give up a long drive. Howvwer in the NFL if your defense basically holds a team to 13 points that is great. The fact the Bengals only gave up 20 considering the Bengals had 5 turnovers is very good. Today's lost is on the offense and coaching plain and simple. The defense did good especially considering the circumstances.
