I do believe the 16th got the first d-1 committment in the state for the class of 2007! I will check with Vanhoose and see if he thinks Euton or Jackson can play,

Those numbers are just hurting the 16th Region and proving to the rest of the state that the 16th is where 7th graders can go to compete. I had a chance to see Euton in Lexington. At times, he looked lethargic, but his height gives him potential and that is certain. But you cannot fool those who have witnessed.

Darius Miller averaged 16 per game last year and has offers from UK and UT, among others.

 

Bud Mackey averaged 12 or 13 per game and has offers from UK and others.

 

Jeff Brooks averaged just 11 per game last year and has a multitude of offers.

 

Scotty Hopson averaged just over 10 per game last season is getting offers from D1 top programs as well.

 

If points per game was any indicator, then the 16th would have about 30 players that average more than these guys and would be getting D1 offers out the wahoo. Keep things in perspective.

 

And those offers along with the recent signing of another 7' project are hurting UK. Euton and Jackson will get their offers when their time comes.

Boys. Don't be offended. Enjoy the sound of the music. Even though the violins are a little whiny right now, it still indicates that Rose Hill is on the rise and the "dissenters" are taking notice.

I dont think he ever said anything negative about Euton and Jackson. He also never said anything about them not playing D-1 ball. But I dont think these guys are on the level with Hopson, Miller, and Mackey. Those guys play against really tough competition, particularly Mackey.

If they are getting offers from D1 schools, then there is more than one opinion in the matter. It is who you play that helps form an opinion. You had a cupcake schedule. I'm not talking about the opinions of the buddies and friends.

Both Jackson and Euton are on the radar of several high profile D1 schools. As you are aware they cannot be officially recruited but when they can there will be plenty of offers.

 

The cupcake schedule arguement will be of no use after this season. Rose Hill plays in the King of the Bluegrass, @ Lex. Cath, @Morgan, pre season against Mason, etc.

Critcize all you want but we are all here to stay, will be playing in Rupp Areana soon enough, and in a blink of an eye we will be watching Chad and Dakotah and maybe even Chase playing major college basketball on TV. I agree I don't see how he comes up with some of these list...they are supposed to be based on potential I believe, I not sure.

 

Potential is the only reason I see that for CCH, Lampl is the only junior and below on this list. Grimes, Roll, Bondick, Schmerge, and others are far better than Lampl right now, but if it's potential... then it's easier to understand, but still confusing.

Aaron Watts from McCreary Central isn't even in the top 12 for underclassmen? He can easily beat anyone off the dribble and can nail it from long-range. He is a D-1 star. If McCreary comes close to a school near you, check out this kid!

Have not seen him play recently but did see him play in 5th and 6th grade AAU. He was a very good player at that age.

 

He definately put up good numbers last year.

 

Was he held back a grade when he moved from Lexington to Mcreary Co.? It is my understanding he was taken in by foster parents.

 

D-1 Star? I hope the dream comes true for Aaron.
