What grade and position is she?

She is a senior guard. Solid player. Good shooter.

His comments are reflecting the opposite end of the spectrum then the one he's making you think he's implying. :thumb:

Oh no....I know exactly what he's implying !

This Region is all about the Cardinals and the Camels.....

Its a 2 Team Race

I think Bracken County will be much improved and will have a shot to be compete against Nicholas County for the All A. I don’t think they are that behind Mason County as well, I haven’t had a chance to see either teams yet but just basing off what was lost and gained from last year.

We know what was gained on Bracken's side! New Coach Sam Elsbernd! You are correct that they will be the most improved team in the region. Coach Elsbernd will have those girls playing extremely hard on the defensive side of the ball.

Would it be safe to say that Coach Elsbernd will describe their defense as "shake'n bake"?

They will come at you like spider monkeys!

That is the name of his full court press!

Will they have Mountain Dew instead of Gatorade or Water????

Sam Elsbernd is a good coach. Saw him on the boys sideline last season as an assistant and have heard good things. However, it is going to take time for him to completely right the program after 3 coaches in 3 years. I agree that Bracken will be committed to playing hard defense, but this is his first time being a head coach and I'm sure there will be some growing pains as he builds the program.

3rd Time was the charm it looks like trying to find a replacement for Kelsch. Coach Elsbernd recently moved into an apartment in Bracken County and he is also the middle school football coach. Hopefully that is a sign that he will be staying with the program for a while and I think he will a tremendous job.

I agree with that assessment.

1A. George Rogers Clark - they are the defending champs until someone knocks them off!

1B. Campbell County - this team will challenge GRC at the top.

Now, the rest of the rankings

3. Scott High - the next best team outside of the top two.

4. Nicholas County - will be a sleeper in the region.

5. Bishop Brossart - you can never count out this team.

6. Mason County - lost a ton of talent but still good enough to be close to the top 5.

7. Bourbon County - they are the best of the rest.

8. Paris - all five starters return for the Ladyhounds, hopefully that's a good thing.

9. Montgomery County - the jury is still out on the Lady Indians.

10. Bracken County - because they will be better than the other teams left in the region.

I really disagree with the highlighted statement. Just because they won the year before doesn't ' mean they will be good the next year. GRC should be ranked #1 but not because they won it last year. It is the players they have returning, the coaching staff, their great defense and good shooting is why they should be ranked #1.
