Corbin 22 Alcoa (TN) 21

I think Haddix's complete trust in Sizemore was shown in the last few minutes. He called a couple of plays you probably wouldn't trust just anyone with, but Sizemore has shown his ability time and time again. There aren't many who could have done those last two drives (regular season and overtime) better.

He truly is the KY High School Football Tebow.

Love watching that kid play

Man, I had this one all wrong. I thought Alcoa would win by 3 or 4 scores. HUGE win for the Redhounds. Looks like we've got a new #1 in 3A.

Austin Peay? I didn't know they weren't play at Lindsey Wilson again. That's cool!

The athletic director at Austin Peay is a Mayfield alum.

Instant classic tonight... Hounds showed toughness and resolve tonight in overcoming the Tennessee powerhouse. Two good football teams...

I like the big strong QB in this type of offence, it keeps a lot of pressure on the linebackers especially in short yard situations and around the goal line. Sizemore is a heck of a QB that knows how to find the end zone.

Corbin's defense keeps the Hounds in the game long enough for the offense to come around late, with the help of a couple of penalties that could be deemed questionable. The personal foul for hitting the QB looked like a just a football play to me and I'm not sure about the pass interference because it looked to be face guarding, which may not be a penalty in high school, although it was called on Corbin last week in the endzone as well.

Alcoa was not a great offensive team, and looked a little surprised that it wasn't going to be easier than it was to move the ball, but their defense was quick, physical and fundamentally sound.

TN football has dropped, this is an example.

Wow, great win Corbin! This just gets me more excited for their trip to the NKY next week!

One game. Two highly ranked teams in their classes. Overtime. At the Kentucky team's home field. That all means Tennessee football is down?

I know you're not a Corbin fan but these complaints seems like discrediting Alcoa/Tennessee as a roundabout way of knocking Corbin.

Yeah. If Alcoa is a top 10 team in TN and lost to a 3A school that isnt in the top 20 in Ky, then yeah. Alcoa is down or TN football is one.

FWIW, Calpreps (I know its early and I know data is sparse right now) has Alcoa #28 in Tennessee and Corbin #9 in Kentucky.

The enrollment at Alcoa is 580, Corbin is over 800. Corbin is also in the top 10 in KY though.

Oh yeah, of course it is. Also, you forgot to mention that Corbin cheated.

Pretty much. Corbin keeps him in a state of butt hurt.
