Thought Corbin dialed up some excellent playcalls in their goal line situations. The TD in regulation and 2 point conversion where sensational calls.

Then in OT they rode the horse that got them there as Sizemore powers it in

Both were excellent calls, but I really liked the 2-pointer.

Nice win for Corbin against a quality opponent. Looking forward to September 22nd down in Clarksville , Tennessee when Mayfield and Corbin meet. Should be interesting.

Austin Peay? I didn't know they weren't play at Lindsey Wilson again. That's cool!

To recap the end of regulation:

Alcoa leading 14-8 had controlled Corbin's Offense the majority of the game save an early possession where Corbin burned them on back to back screens.

Corbin Defense was pretty phenomenal all night and forced an Alcoa punt. The punt was very short and set up Corbin in prime field position.

On 2nd Down Alcoa snuffed out an option pitch for a loss but were flagged for hitting a defenseless man as they hit Sizemore after he pitched it (I hope this applies to Belfry all year LOL)

Sizemore busted about a 9 yard gain to set up a 3rd and 1. As Corbin starts to line up a flag flies for the defense lining up offsides. Corbin grinds again and has a clear 4th and 1. The refs stop the clock for a measurement Corbin asks for that wasn't close. Corbin converts.

After losing yards on 1st and Goal Corbin is facing 3rd and Goal at the 10. Sizemore is pressured and throws a jump ball. The defender never gets his head around but also never makes contact. The ball hits his helmet and he is flagged for a P.I. making it 3rd and Goal at the 5

Sizemore powers to about the 2, 4th and Goal.

Corbin runs a beautiful play where they roll Sizemore left and drag a receiver in the back of the ednzone behind him.

They follow it up with a beautiful pass on the conversion.

Gritty, gritty win by Corbin
