Is the ship taking on water in Union?

Start your season playing a 5A power or a team who went 2-9 a season ago... Hmm... Which is more telling?

Cupcakes are delicious!

They also are full of empty calories (wins) that give you a quick lift, but once the sugar buzz wears off and reality sets in you hit a wall, hard.

Marksberry sure does like them.

BTW, NKU is awful.

They have Henry Clay, Boone, Highlands, then Dixie coming up. If they are taking on water fine, but I have faith that the studs wills step up with buckets and bail out the water so to speak. If seen these seniors have a huge impact on last season's team. They know how to win, yes a lot was lost, but I'm pretty sure they will bounce back.

This is what I was talking about. If Ryle is going to have a couple of trouble spots needing attention the early schedule they have will allow their other athletes to step up and carry the team until the coaches have time to settle the weaker areas down and coach them up. I agree, they should be fine in the early part of the season. Highlands' passing game will allow them to see if the secondary has worked things out. Ryle's defense will be strong against the run and unless a passing attack is very strong, like Trinity and Cov Cath was, they should be fine against the pass as well.

I see a steady diet of Chisholm and England coming in the early part of the season as Ryle works its way to a little more balance.

I just realized I've been misspelling Chisholm's name. I had like the John Wayne movie.

Congrats to Coach Warner and Cov Cath. Hopefully the final score crossed the desk of the principal at Ryle.

This is NKY football. It is extremely hard to replace a once, or if you're really lucky, a twice per decade QB for any public school and most private schools.

Why would he care?

I don't understand the bold statement.

I don't understand the bold statement.

I think he may be referring to the fact that Coach Warner isn't the coach at Ryle for whatever reason and that the he hopes the principal took note of the impact he had on coaching the team to a W. I can say that Coach Warner still supports the Ryle team in a positive way. Heck, his kids will be going to school there some day. My son never played for him, but he has offered any assistance he could provide with him on playing next level football. A great guy.

Kind of my thoughts.

And as I mentioned in the Ryle - Henry Clay prediction thread, Ryle is changing some personal including their QB.

Unlike some of you that don't seem to like this thread I think it is a fair question and in part true because Ryle is making some changes as a result of the two early season blowouts.

Great guy, wants nothing but the best for ALL kids, on his team or not.

Agree on Bryson Warner. I talked to him not too long ago and you are exactly on point.

Which one of you had the better high and tight haircut?

Which one of you had the better high and tight haircut?

It's close but I'm definitely going with @theguru - Shout out to my Barber and Friend Matty Mo! U Da Man Matty Mo!!!

However, we both agreed we run a 5.2 40 yard dash. :lol2:

Things must be downright awful in Independece. Calpreps has Ryle ranked higher than SK.
