What's your favorite way to have a hotdog?

I love hot dogs don't get me wrong, but I'm committed to avoiding processed meats (colon cancer survivor), but if I knew of a healthy hot dog out there I sure wouldn't mind trying it.

 

When I did indulge in the past I liked mine with a nice wiggly stripe of mustard all up and down it. and I like it with grill marks to the point there's a bit (but not too much) of a crunch along with a smokey grilled flavor.

Pulled off the grill just before being burnt, then put on a bun with a line of ketchup down one side and a line of mustard down the other.

Simply done on the grill with yellow mustard and relish.

Inside a hot dog bun and covered with chili, cheese and light onion from Dixie Chili!

Literally everything you could think of on top, grilled obviously.

 

Chili dogs though, you can't beat Dairy Kastle.

Enjoy mustard and ketchup...however, cincy style chili, shredded mild cheddar or colby jack cheeses with mustard is my favorite!

I haven't had meat in over 3 years (not by choice), but I love hotdogs. I prefer my hotdogs with chili, slaw, and occasionally mustard and onions. I've only had a Cincinnati style dog once in my life and that was when I was a kid back in the early 80's at the Cincinnati Zoo which probably doesn't count as a real Cincy Dog. It was horrible. I remember the bun crumbling line a saltine cracker every time I picked it up. My favorite restaurant dogs are from Sam's Hotdogs.

And Cincy has burger week this week? Pretty poor timing!

I had a Nathan's hotdog at Sam's Store in Lexington yesterday. I don't eat a lot of hotdogs but l occasionally get a Nathan's with mustard, ketchup, and kraut when I'm in that store.
