April 2, 20179 yr Congratulations to the Tarheels. Oregon played a really good tournament, if they had Boucher I think they could have beat anyone. They made an incredible run without him.

April 2, 20179 yr Oregon missed almost every shot they threw up, Brooks and Dorsey combined for about 25% from the field, Kennedy Meeks had the game of his life, and it came down to 2 missed box outs to decide the game. How?
April 2, 20179 yr Oregon missed almost every shot they threw up, Brooks and Dorsey combined for about 25% from the field, Kennedy Meeks had the game of his life, and it came down to 2 missed box outs to decide the game. How? It's simple really, Carolina is the WORST team in college hoops at closing out a game. Fortunately, they've been in these situations countless times which have allowed them to no longer panic
April 2, 20179 yr You'll never get that call when you don't even try to box out. If you at least attempt to box out and get pushed then they probably get that call, but no official is ever going to call that if your first move as a rebounder is to the basketball instead of boxing out.

April 2, 20179 yr If you at least attempt to box out and get pushed then they probably get that call, but no official is ever going to call that if your first move as a rebounder is to the basketball instead of boxing out. This. And to top it off it was the same kid on both.
April 2, 20179 yr You'll never get that call when you don't even try to box out.I personally don't think that they were going to call it regardless. I do absolutely agree about no boxing out. They weren't going to try or they froze. Either way Oregon should've attempted it ...boxing out. They didn't even make it look good.
April 2, 20179 yr It's simple really, Carolina is the WORST team in college hoops at closing out a game. Fortunately, they've been in these situations countless times which have allowed them to no longer panic I am not so sure about that. This year's UK team was bad at closing out and putting away teams also.
April 2, 20179 yr Meeks pushed in the back, same ole same ole, NC gets away with murder. cry me a river! no call no foul!
April 2, 20179 yr It's simple really, Carolina is the WORST team in college hoops at closing out a game. Fortunately, they've been in these situations countless times which have allowed them to no longer panic If my team is the worse at closing out games and still end up in the Championship game, I'll take that.
April 2, 20179 yr If you at least attempt to box out and get pushed then they probably get that call, but no official is ever going to call that if your first move as a rebounder is to the basketball instead of boxing out. Absolutely, all the Oregon player had to do was put a body into him, and he would have gotten the call. No attempt to box out whatsoever. Rule #1 on free throw block!
April 2, 20179 yr I am not so sure about that. This year's UK team was bad at closing out and putting away teams also. Then it might be those 2, but Carolina is bad about it
April 2, 20179 yr If my team is the worse at closing out games and still end up in the Championship game, I'll take that. I'm not saying I'm not thrilled about it, but they've had 10+ point leads in LOTS of games only to watch it come down to the wire
April 2, 20179 yr As "bad" as Carolina played last night, they still won, despite Hicks and Berry going a COMBINED 3-26 from the field. Don't expect that again. This is why it was a 1 point win. If they can go 3-26 and win I'll take every time.
