March 12, 20179 yr Committee didn't follow their own 1-8, 2-7, 3-6, 4-5 rules. Flipped UK and Arizona.
March 12, 20179 yr The committee did it right I think. They admitted Duke jumped the most from a 4 seed to a 2 and also admitted Dukes out of conference schedule was very weak and played into it. They also admitted to a reason Duke didn't get a 1 seed was because they were stopped by a team that won both their conference title but also their tournament and I assume he was talking about UK which makes sense. Tough to jump Duke from a 4 seed on Wed to a 1 seed today over another team that was ahead of them and won both their conference and tournament.

March 12, 20179 yr That I'm sure had a lot to do with where they would play It's not supposed to for the top 8, that's been said all along. But the NCAA figures to sell more tickets if UK advances to Memphis than to San Jose it's all about the $$$$
March 12, 20179 yr Committee didn't follow their own 1-8, 2-7, 3-6, 4-5 rules. Flipped UK and Arizona. Their rules also involve geographic protection, right? Made perfect sense to flip them to put each closer to home.

March 12, 20179 yr The South Regional 25 NCAA titles in the first 3 seeds and 29 in the entire backet. 24 isn't it? UCLA-11, UK-8, UNC-5
March 12, 20179 yr Their rules also involve geographic protection, right? Made perfect sense to flip them to put each closer to home. Not supposed to for the top 8, Bilas or someone said last week that the top 8 is supposed to be a straight seeding.
March 12, 20179 yr Not supposed to for the top 8, Bilas or someone said last week that the top 8 is supposed to be a straight seeding. That's not how it works. It may be how it should be, but it's not.
March 12, 20179 yr That's not how it works. It may be how it should be, but it's not. That's not what has been said, it was supposed to change for this year. I know it never has, but this season it was supposed to.
March 12, 20179 yr 24 isn't it? UCLA-11, UK-8, UNC-5 yes it is 24 and 27 total that's what I get for listening to CBS's so called experts. lol
March 12, 20179 yr From NCAA 1. The committee will place the four No. 1 seeds in each of the four regions, thus determining the Final Four semifinals pairings (overall 1 vs. 4; 2 vs. 3). 2. The committee will then place the No. 2 seeds in each region in true seed list order. It goes on to give them an "Out" which means they can violate their own rules.
