EKU on ESPN U 9/21

It's great that they get some exposure!! The Colonels have a great tradition. My friend and former high school team mate played for the Colonels so I watch them when possible.

:thumb: Go Colnels!!! My cable company recently changed hands and discontinued ESPNU :irked: so I will not be getting it.:madman:

What time?

The game is at 7:30 on ESPNU against Tennessee Tech. Hopefully the Colonels won't lay an egg, as their football program has been prone to do in meaningful, but not overhyped conference games in the past.

Colonels upset tonight, I caught the 4th quarter and after the game it looked like Matt Schoborg (SK grad) caught a TD pass for EKU.

Tenn Tech 27 EKU 14. Matt Schoborg did catch a TD pass tonight. Greco ran for the other in the first half. Another poor offense performance for the Colonels. For the second week in a row, they totally dominated the first half, then a total letdown in the second half. Penalties costed them a TD, missed a FG again. Not the same team that beat TTU last year 52-3. The OVC title looks to be out of reach for them at this point. They only lost one conference game last season and they didn't make the playoffs. At this point, unfortunately, the Colonels look in disarray.

Tennessee Tech 27 Eastern Ky. 14.

Looks like another year for EKU not making the 1-AA playoffs. The OVC is such a weak conference that if they don't win it, they don't get in. They were picked pre-season champs and I thought after the Western game they had a shot. Wrong...jJust another mediocre team for Danny Hope.

Another year, another BAD early season conference loss by the Colonels. I'm not sure what direction this program is headed right now. It seems to me that they are more concerned with beating Western than challenging for a conference title and postseason appearances.

Looks and sounds to me like Danny Hope is in over his head. We beat them 52-3 last year. I hate to say it but the program needs a change.:argue:

No that program is heading in a sloid direction still. They have a great coaching staff there.

Danny Hope guaranteed a conference title to the Alumni this season, just as he had promised one within his first three seasons after he was hired. Guarantees that keep falling through tend to lead to some upset fans, and with the impact the alumni have on this program rumblings will definately occur in favor of Hope being replaced.
