February 27, 20179 yr Trump is too thin skinned for an event like this. That's one of his weaknesses in my opinion. He can dish it out but he can't take it. He hates criticism even if it's in a comedy format. If you're in politics you've got to learn to deal with criticism. You don't have to like it but you also don't have to go crazy on Twitter and other outlets to voice opinions on stuff that in may instances is trivial to begin with.

February 28, 20179 yr Nothing justifies Obama's behavior. Obama was president but he never learned how to act presidential. I hope that Trump will learn to act presidential, but he has some work to do. Steering clear of the White House Correspondents' dinner is a step in the right direction. Trump has used his celebrity status in the past to ridicule people who were in no position to defend themselves, and when he did, he was wrong too, and I criticized him for it. I make it a rule never to defend classless behavior. Obama's "comic" attack on Trump was classless, just as Trump's attack on Ted Cruz's father, Rafael, was classless. NM.

Yeah, that's it, he is afraid of the press:lol2:... The guy had the stones to think he could win the presidency, and then went out and did it by beating 16 other R's and then beat HRC. But he is too frightened to deal with a bunch of reporters...yeah, that makes sense...
March 3, 20179 yr Will Alec Baldwin appear at the dinner in character as Donald Trump? There is a story out that this might happen. I am not sure I like this. While it would be funny, I think it will be too much and go over the top. A little humor at this dinner is entertaining, but as someone said above it is not a roast of anyone and I am afraid that is what this would turn into if it happens. I wouldn't allow it if I were the people running the event.
