Frankfort vs. Garrard Co.

Featured Replies

I know nothing about Garrard....How's this game shaping up?

Frankfort BIG! Frankfort has speed and played a good Mason Co. team close. They were shut down on a 2-pt. conversion to tie it really late in the 4th quarter. Garrard will have no answer to them.

Frankfort 56

Garrard 18

It seems like the same comments are made about Garrard County every week. Frankfort should win the ballgame because of the Lions lack of speed. This was exposed in losses to Paris (46-7), Lincoln County (41-0), Mercer County (49-7) and to a lesser extent, Clark County (49-27). While the scoreboard has shown losses, the Golden Lions have played much better in the last two weeks. I think Frankfort will win, but Garrard will continue to improve.

Frankfort 46, Garrard County 24

Frankfort 48-19.

Frankfort by 40. 20 of those points on Reverse half back pass or on the Fumble-rooski.

The Panthers will get the win in a big way. I hope that Foley and his staff will get things together at practice this week, considering his comments in the State Journal. "Out-coached, out-played, etc." This is the second week in a row that comments have been made about the team giving up and being out-played, that is a direct reflection on the coaching staff and not the players. Why is the team giving up? Why are the Panthers out-coached? The players need to keep their heads up, the victory will come on Friday.

Yes I agree comments like that need to be kept in the locker room and on the feild not in the papers. I have seen comments like that build animosity between coaches and player in high school and in college.

Maybe some of the players will be mad enough to transfer to a county school next year!  But seriously,I hope the kids show their character, ignore the negative comments and go back to their winning ways!Good luck FHS!:thumb:

Don't believe everything you read in the papers. I heard Frankfort kept clawing and scored with just a little time to go against Mason, and only missing the 2 pt. conversion prevented it from going to OT. That doesn't sound like the team "giving up" to me. As for "out-coached," a coach makes a game plan and his players need to execute it. We have the luxury of sitting up in the stands and criticizing the game plan, but then again, the newspaper didn't go down there and try to develop one either so the criticism doesn not go very far with me.

You migt want to go back a read the newspaper. Foley did say those things but went on to say that HE (Foley) is the one responsible for his team and coaches. I can asure everyone it will be corrected.
