Colin Cowherd says UK fans bragging about All-Star weekend is pathetic

Featured Replies

Cowherd absolutely is above debating a LOCAL radio personality about the team he obsesses over. No reason he should give Jones or anyone in a similar position the platform of ESPN to debate.

I agree. All one of the people that produce the Herd would have to do is pull up Matt Jones twitter to see this dude is an idiot and would be an absolute waste of time.

Jones doesn't deserve ESPN time

FS1.

Cowherd is a grape...I guess that makes Jones a raisin....Who cares...GO CATS

His ratings say otherwise.

He's horrible. Just another ESPN flunkie who got ran out of town just like Skip Bayless who are both peas in a pod. Both horrible and clueless.

Once again great, but we're talking about UK. Who cares that other teams also have the same issues. People get so out of shape that someone said a true statement about UK. Then go all elementary school student level and use the well they did it too excuse.

What he said is very true about UK. Then from a business side very smart because he knew he would get this reaction from our crazy fan base.

As was pointed out in a previous post UK has produced the 2nd most NBA hall of famers. So to say they have underwhelmed in the NBA is false.

Same - when he was saying Brady was washed up for two average/bad playoff games in a row.. Considering it was against a very good Houston defense and at Denver last year which was historically good.

Haven't listened to him since then.

He also has always said John Wall was horrible. That should tell you all you need to know about Cowturd.

He said nothing like that. He was wrong about Wall but it wasn't that.

Is he worKing for MSNBC Sports

Neither does Cowherd. Jones is about as intellectual about sports as Cowherd thinks he is.

I turned it on FS1 for a little while today while on my lunch break, just in time to catch Cowherd clarifying his earlier statements and doubling down a bit. Went on and listed the top 5 all-time players at some of the major programs. Boiled it down to whether they were "all-time greats in the NBA" and how many titles won. In a way, that does rig the argument a bit on his behalf, considering most of UK's current crop of stars from the Calipari era have not won titles (mostly because, as someone else in this thread mentioned, they've been drafted high and stuck on mostly sorry teams).

Who is the all-time greatest pro player from UK? Would have to be Issel, right?

He would get my vote as the best UK player on the college and NBA level. If Davis and Wall stay healthy, both may have a shot at changing my mind in a few years, but Issel was very good for many years.

He was a top-10 all-time in points scored and rebounds (combined ABA/NBA) when he retired, right? Or at least close?

I do think Davis, Walls and Cousins have chances to change Cowherd's mind. They just haven't yet because of the situations they've been in.
