He was a top-10 all-time in points scored and rebounds (combined ABA/NBA) when he retired, right? Or at least close?

 

I do think Davis, Walls and Cousins have chances to change Cowherd's mind. They just haven't yet because of the situations they've been in.

When he retired, he was the 4th all time combined ABA/NBA scorer. He is still 11th on the all time scoring list and 29th in career rebounds. I couldn't find where he ranked in rebounding at the time he retired.

As was pointed out in a previous post UK has produced the 2nd most NBA hall of famers. So to say they have underwhelmed in the NBA is false.

 

You may want to check that again, because it is not false. Yes UK has the 2nd most basketball hall of famers. However that is not counting their nba careers for a few of the UK guys in it. Case and point the guy it list in that article in Pat Riley. I'm sorry but Pat Rileys career 7 points 1 assist 1 rebound per game in his NBA career is not why he is in the hall of fame. He is in the hall of fame for his coaching and management accomplishments. Cm Newton is included in that, didn't even play in the NBA and is in the hall of fame. These UK hall of famers it mentioned that gave UK the second most hall of famers that it referred to, didn't do it because of their NBA careers besides one or two. So what he said about before Cal UK players not doing much in the nba is true.

Neither does Cowherd. Jones is about as intellectual about sports as Cowherd thinks he is.

 

I'd take Cowherd over Jones any day. It wasn't until recent that Cowherd lost his mind, Jones has always been a moron
