A python recently got stuck in the gauged earlobe of Portland, Ore. resident Ashley Glawe.

Glawe’s pet ball python, Bart, found his way into her ear when she placed him around her shoulders this week, CNN reports.

Before Glawe could pinpoint what was going on, she believed Bart was attacking the side of her head.

“What (it) felt like (was) he struck at my ear — I like froze instantly. I didn’t move because I really thought he was like attacking the side of my head,” Glawe told Jeanne Moos of CNN.

It soon became clear that the python did not attack her — they are just drawn to holes. (The snakes are not venomous and constrict their prey.)

Glawe applied cooking oil to try and slip him out of the earlobe, but it was not successful. She was worried the animal would ultimately rip open the whole lobe.

“I knew I wasn’t going to be able to (remove him) without hurting him, by pulling him back against his scales,” Glawe said.

The fire department arrived on the scene but could not remove the snake. Then Glawe was driven to an emergency room.

Her ear was numbed and lubrication was applied to slip the animal out, CNN reports.

“(They) put like string or something like that in between my ear and the snake, and like stretched my ear out more and pulled him back through and all was well.”

Glawe was left with a bruised ear and the snake had no injuries.

“He acted like nothing even happened and was totally chill," she said.

Poor judgement. First the ear gauges, then purchasing a snake, then actually allowing the snake to be close enough to her for it to find its way through the hole. Well deserved.

First time I've ever been happy for a snake.

The girl or the snake? :idunno:

This order:

1. Her ear(s)

2. The Snake

3. Her

Exactly

The girl would be quite attractive if she would get the snake out of her ear, get a better haircut, and get rid of the metal in her face.

I bet she wears a "pythong" too.

So you are a fan of her neck tattoo?

I would be more worried about the big hole in my ear than the snake. On a serious note, someone I went to high school with had a large gauge put in his ears like that and completely hates the fact that he did it. To my knowledge there is no way to reverse it and if there is, it's out of his price range due to the fact that he can't find a good paying job. Due to the two giant holes in his ears.

Here is one solution :lol2:

Of course, the lesson here is don't get those silly big piercings in your ear.

When I saw LA Cat posted a story about a woman applying lube and a python...well let's just say, this is not what I was expecting...
