The Wall

You have obviously never been involved in a construction project of any kind. Permits and environmental impact studies do not grow on trees. Trump has not even had time to purge the EPA and Border Patrol of the leftover Obama saboteurs in those agencies yet. It is not easy to fire federal employees who refuse to do their job. Obama has salted every federal agency with his political agitating leakers, who have no intention of taking orders from the Trump administration.

DN, I don't think he will be able to rid all of these organizations of agitators. He only has about 25% of the country that truly believe in what he says. A good concentration of those folks are in rural areas, so unless he sets up some job fairs in Hazard or Fayetteville, Trump is going to struggle with reluctant bureaucrats.

Sounds like govt. :lol2:

Trump's leadership qualities will be put to a test.

I figured this was the fault of the last guy who was in office.:lol2:

In any organization, including those staffed by United Mine Workers of America union members, good managers never tolerate direct insubordination. If you are given a lawful, ethical order by your employer, you obey that order.

If the order violates your employment contract, then you file a grievance against the employer. If you refuse to obey such an order, then a good, well trained manager will terminate you on the spot.

It is very difficult to get rid of a bad federal employee, but I have seen it done first hand. It takes time, but it is possible, and it should be one of Trump's top priorities.

I figured this was the fault of the last guy who was in office.:lol2:
If so, then you figured right. Seriously, any large construction project requires time for engineering, obtaining rights of way, and permits. Presidents can order agencies to try to expedite the process, but when it comes to large scale projects, there is no such thing as shovel ready jobs.

In a year when the wall has not been started, we can talk again about this..

Fair enough, but I do not expect much to be done in one year. There are probably some areas in which a wall will be started, but if we build a formidable wall, it will take years to complete it.

In the meantime, you should understand that there are managers in the Border Control that are still following Obama's catch and release SOP. Trump's top priority should be ridding federal agencies of all employees who are actively obstructing his agenda. If he does that much and gets a substantial part of a border wall in four years, I will be very happy with his performance.

Even if this wall is successfully built I see emerging markets in tunnel digging, as well as, boat transport! :lol2:

Where there is a will, there is always a way!!!

Going to need better Coast Guard funding: start building those new patrol boats, radar, and throw in a fleet of helicopters also...but you didn't hear that from me!

This guy was obviously bullied as a kid.

Actually every fight I got into was in defense of kids being bullied, I assume you did your fair share of bullying. I stood up for and fought for those who couldn't, you?

Will POTUS play tough with funding for the wall this week while the govt is trying to prevent a shutdown?

Having the Federal Government shut down would probably IMPROVE service.

The Wall will be funded by the $ with held from sanctuary cities.

In what way would service improve if the Federal government shut down?

Federal government does not provide service. It only provides compliance with its own regulations.

You were the one who used the word service in your post. That is why I asked the question. Please clarify what you were trying to say in that earlier post where you talked about improving service.

Saw a report that Ted Cruz had proposed a bill that would take the $14Billion seized from El Chapo and use that money to pay for the wall.

If true, that's brilliant!

This is why we need to secure the border. Interview with a soldier who's tells the real truth, not the false left media narrative. Folks need to listen!
