January 22, 20179 yr I really like Willis and Gabriel on the floor at the same time. I mentioned after last game that I think that should be what they go with when Bam is in foul trouble, rather than putting Humphries in. However I think in games that become more half court games where the other team doesn't play a fast pace. It wouldnt be a bad idea to go big and have Willis, Bam, and Gabriel together if one of the guards Fox, Monk, or Briscoe is in foul trouble. In the half court with say Fox and Monk at guards, and then Gabriel, Willis and Bam it would be an effective half court offense. Would have three shooters to spread the floor for Fox to pass too, and still have Bam.

January 22, 20179 yr This one shows how valuble Fox at the point is. After he went out, that position suffered but I was glad to see the Cats get things pulled together in the 2nd half for a convincing win. Malik's 27 I thought was an all around effort and especially after Fox went out, he took over until they could get back in sync. D. Will had a good game and Bam is just as steady of a player night in, night out as UK has imo. I really would like to see the ball going to Bam more than it does, no one has an answer for him inside. I guess that's why that I am sitting here posting on bgp and Cal has the record he does and in the HOF, uh ? Briscoe had another bad night, I don't know if he is pressing things too much or what. South Carolina is good, extremely physical and plays excellent D. Should they get in the ncaa then imo they can win a couple of games. After around the 10 min. mark in the 1st half, I think that the guys in white forgot to guard Thornwell. What a game he had ! SC played well, especially in playing w/o maybe their best player. U.K. just wore them down. I hope that D. Fox's ankle isn't real bad and he can return soon, On to Knoxville and having to look at that disgusting shade of orange juice.

With Fox, Briscoe, and Bam all out there the paint gets clogged sometimes because all three of them get the majority of their points around the paint. The more spacing we give the athletes the more touches Bam gets without a double team collapsing, the wider the lane gets for Fox to run the true dribble drive offense and if help comes over to Fox then you have 3 guys to pass to out on the perimeter. I will say though that Mychal Mulder is also a reliable shooter when another guard is in foul trouble and you can run the same type of system.
