Bengals Playoff Chances

Featured Replies

Pretty much. The Bengals have a better shot at the division still, than they do the wild card. The sad part is everything can work out perfect the next 2 weeks, but then the last week we have to hope for a Browns win over the Steelers.

Same chance as me weighing 150 pounds, NOT happening!!!!!!!

Remaining Games: Baltimore: Philly, @ Pittsburgh, @ Cincinnati

Can the Bengals still win the division? I don't think they can unless Pittsburgh loses the next 3.

Yes, Pittsburgh would have to lose next three, and also Baltimore has to lose this week, or else the division can't happen. With that said the division is still a better chance than the wild card because there is a lot more help the Bengals need to win the wild card.

BENGALS

I would like to see the Bengals win out but missing the playoffs isn't all bad, it is cause for change.

Agreed! I only want us to win out if that means we make the playoffs. However if we are going to miss, I would rather lose the rest and almost force the Bengals to realize they have to make changes.

I think it would be good for both Marvin and the Bengals to get fresh starts. The Bengals need a need voice to get them over the hump. Marvin needs a new team to deliver that message to. The way head coaches get recycled, even head coaches who have done horrible each year have got second chances. He would land another head coaching job next year or the year after.

The Steelers are winning at least 2 of the last 3.

Denver has a very difficult final three games and it is possible they could lose all three.

I don't know Miami's remaining three games but it looks like Tannehill might be out.

I think there's a better chance of those two things happening and the rest needed for a wild-card than there is of the Browns beating the Steelers.

You may be right. However even though Denver is not as good as last year, they still are a good team. That would make them have to be on a 4 game losing streak to end this season. Miami's toughest game is the Patriots the last game of the year, and it will depend on if the Pats have home field wrapped up on or not by then if they play their starters. Then The Bengals also need the Ravens to lose 2 of their last three, they need the Bills to go winless, which their schedule is easy. They need Tennessee to lose 2 of their last 3, and they also need the Colts to lose 2 out of their last 3.

So while the chances of Pittsburgh losing to Cleveland is not great. The odds of all those other things happening aren't great either. However we have seen crazy things happen each year that somehow get teams to make it. Pittsburgh got as lucky as can be last year to make it, by a lot of things working out. Maybe this will be the year the Bengals get lucky, and things work out perfectly for them to make it somehow.

These things NEVER happen for the Bengals. The tie and the Bills loss were killers. We'd be right there with those. Just awful
