I would argue that it can be emasculating for a man to be forced to dress in women's clothing and go out in public, fly on a plane, eat in a restaurant, etc. There is absolutely no reason for it other than to degrade that person.

I would guess that at least the veterans found it fun and entertaining or it wouldn't be an MLB tradition that has gone on for years.

If it's pro athletes I think it's funny (good natured not malicious MLB hazing). Not for kids.

 

Plus it's funnier than some of these guys donning league uniforms and trying to convince us they are major league ballplayers....just sayin'

If only the rituals were that simple. Sadly there have been kids who have died as a result of hazing gone too far. It is just another form of bullying, imo.

I'm with her. I think the league is trying to discourage juvenile behavior that sometimes goes tragically awry . Kids still emulate sports' stars.

I dont really know, I was just thinking that MLB brass would be a lot more sensitive to a gay player complaining about having to dress up as a woman than they would a straight player. Why was the rule put in place after all of this years? It just seems that everyone is all about political correctness now.
