I thought Kevin Burns had a great game tonight. He came back on an underthrown ball for a TD and had a crucial onside recovery in the 2nd half. I agree with FBALL Walters and SnodGrass have improved the line alot and sophmore Justin Pennington has been playing good at T as well.

I'm just guessing here, but I would say around 7 penalties for 40 yards. I know they had a hold on the play that Thomas's TD was called back. They had one delay of game, and probably 5 illegal procedures.

If I remember correctly, I don't think Ashland had many turnovers tonight.

Mat Thomas had another great game. But, the linemen deserve some credit too. They rarely get the credit they deserve. I think the linemen are the key to this year’s success. I’d name them one by one, but I’m afraid I’d leave someone out.

 

PW’s facilities were great. The folks were friendly and they like their football. I really, really enjoyed the PA announcer – what of hoot!! I tried to imitate him all the way home – my wife got sick of it, but I’m afraid it’s etched in my memory now.

Something that gets lost in the shuffle is Matt Thomas' play on defense this year. He has been Ashland's MVP on BOTH sides of the ball so far this season. He has been responsible for causes or recovering atleast 1 turnover every game this season, and I think had multiple caused turnovers against Belfry not to mention probably leading the team in tackles so far this year. :thumb:
