Corbin 78 Lexington Catholic 75

One of two things. Either it's an upset or Lex is a bit overrated. Andrew is really good but Corbin is a decent team at best

I think there are a ton of decent teams and only 2-5 great ones. Conner beats LexCath when LexCath didn't have Luke Johnson. People say good win. Corbin beats LexCath with Luke Johnson and people say LexCath is overrated.

I say Corbin is better than people think, a good team with a great player who makes his teammates better.

Lex Cath basketball might be like Lex Cath football....play anyone early to pay dividends late. I believe Lex Cath is still hanging around in the 11th Region Finals

I think the 11th Region Finals will be a rematch of last year's with Dunbar and Scott County but I do think LexCath will be as good as usual. They do play in the District of Death so if they didn't make the Region tournament I wouldn't be surprised and if they made the Region finals or back to Rupp Arena I wouldn't be surprised at that either.

No argument from me Purple...I haven't seen them this basketball season yet. I did see them this summer and have spoke with some people who saw them this season. They looked like an ok team. Time will tell. What can't be disputed is Andrew's ability. I'll keep saying it; if there is a list somewhere of top 2018 players that don't include him in the top 3....that list is flawed. The kid can flat out ball

Yes he can!

After watching LC's coach last week I am not the least bit shocked he got whacked. He gets after and stays after the officials.

From what I've been hearing, he may be coaching to keep his job past this season.

I have watched Andrew play 2 years with Hoop Dreams.

He is the high school equivalent of Larry Bird. Crazy skills, crazy craftiness, crazy basketball IQ.

I'm intrigued about what people are saying about this Taylor kid, and taking absolutely nothing away from him as I imagine that he's a dandy, but I recall a Larry Bird reference last season about another player that became humorous as it was heated that might make one tread lightly with Bird comparisons. :lol2:

I think they are just speaking of the skill set and how he plays. He is crafty and can shoot the ball very well. What is enormously underrated though is Andrew's athleticism....you would be doing yourself a favor by going and watching him play

Here you go.....next best thing to being there

This is nothing new, he is always out on the court pushing the agenda.

Terrific high school basketball game, close the entire way. Bizarre end of the game with two technicals called on Catholic. The ref had little choice on the last technical, as the LC coach strayed out to near midcourt to argue a call with 5 seconds remaining in the game.

Corbin's Andrew Taylor had 32 points, I believe. Lex Cath's Luke Johnson, the young man who has yet to see a shot he doesn't want to take, had 33 points. Two really nice basketball teams.

Corbin improves to 2-0 while the hard-luck Knights fall to 1-3 on the young season.

Here you go.....next best thing to being there

Thanks for the link... definitely a very skilled player.

Sure was. :lol2:

Perhaps not yet on that level, but his college career so far isn't too shabby. Certainly worth keeping an eye on.

Corbin is going to be pretty good. They returned everyone from last year, plus a starter from the previous year who missed all of last year with any injury. Taylor's younger brother(scored 17 last night), who is a freshman, will be a key player as well this year.
