Lincoln County 21 Rockcastle County 18

Featured Replies

These two teams could play ten times and they would probably split. I would bet that if this game was played on October 8 and then again on November 8, Rockcastle County would win them both. Don't fret, Rockets...you'll be knocking on that 3A door come Thanksgiving.

How in the world could it be possible for you to know that? Best of luck to Rock in the rest of the season, I hope you do win the 3A title.

Is Miller #23? I remember him being a tough runner when I saw them.

Yes. He has came back from a ACL surgery from last year. He has over 500 yards rushing so far.

He broke his collar bone last week.

You're in the wrong thread. This is Lincoln County and Rockcastle County and I'm pretty sure neither team has suffered a broken collar bone recently.

Why is Rock only dressing 35 players? Isn't that a big drop from the past several years?

Their starting TE and MLB was diagnosed with Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever about 3 weeks ago and was hospitilized and is still recovering. Besides that they have numerous receivers that have broken ribs, concussions, broken collar bones and one of the bigger lineman blew his ACL early on as well. Rock is starting 3 10th graders at NG, MLB and Safety. Not too mention the Center, QB and TB is seeing their first varsity action this year at those respective postions.

Are these season-ending injuries or can we expect to see these players back before the postseason?

3wishes, where does the Rock match up with district foes Clay County, Knox Central, Madison Southern, etc. in your opinion?

Lincoln is going to make their district interesting. There are 4 teams that seem to have a shot at winning it. Madison Central has won it the last 4 years and is loaded once again. South Laurel really shocked me tonight by beating Southwestern. Clark County has been hyped all year about their returning talent. Lincoln could definately make some noise.

Doesn't change IMO, Rock will not see the speed they saw tonight the rest of the year and definatley not two backs that possess that speed at once. A couple of the injuries are season ending but not all of them. An open week will help heal these Rockets.

Lincoln County is back!

Agreed. Last night, their 8th grade team beat Boyle County's 8th grade team for the first time in several years. Middle school success is usually a good indication of the high school team's future chances.

However, I must add that Boyle's 7th grade team beat Lincoln's 7th grade team (because my son plays on Boyle's 7th grade team:D )

What about Clay County? I know they've been piling up the points, but against less-than-stellar competition. I've heard this young quarterback for Clay is really good. Can they make some noise?

where does that guy get all his stats?

My bad! Wrong thread! Its late Im going to bed!

This one is a shocker for me. I thought that the Rock would roll in this one and instead they were beaten. Looks like Rock may be alittle down this year due to its standards. Congrats to Lincoln Co. on the win and good luck to Rock next week.

What stats?

What stats?

Apparently he's questioning the game stats you posted, in which you mentioned Rockcastle won everywhere but the scoreboard. I thought you presented a pretty good point.
