Another stat. 3 TD's for each team. The kicking game on PAT's were the differerence. Nothing to brag about for either team. I guess the score stands though.

Somehow I don't remember Lincoln County making excuses the past few years when they lost to Rockcastle. They just went back to work and continued to try and get better. I'm sure Coach Larkey is not one to make excuses, unlike some.

If you would take time to read the entire thread you would notice that a poster from Grarrard County asked me if Rock had any injuries and I simply replied. Never did I say that was the reason they lost. I actually credited LC numerous times.

I guess in the future that I will just post one sentence posts that are neither interesting or knowledgable. All I have done is post insightful and factual information that I figured the paid members of this site would enjoy. I never make excuses and I just post the facts. Once again, I gave LC all their due, so get off my back please. If you want to pay $15 a year to read posts in every thread that just say's Congrats to one another then so be it, but I feel the majority of the readers on here would like to see the entire picture and get a feel for how the game went. I think you need to look either right or left and get that CHIP off your shoulder because you are really off base here.

All football teams have injuries, I know LC had one starter out, and had several 10 graders on both the O and D lines. Ben Harris a Soph. made the two QB sacks at the end of the game to seal the win for LC. Last year in the game at Rock LC had a total of 11 Soph. on one side of the ball or the other. I dont recall anyone at LC crying how young we were.

 

The way I see it Mr. Network, after a few winning seasons, people forget how to lose graciously. Best of luck rest of the season for both teams.

You won't find a bigger supporter of Lincoln football than me. I am proud of the team "win, lose or draw".

 

A few years ago, the Boyle County fans were intolerable. They were in our face about every accomplishment. As they won more and became more comfortable with their status as a winning program, they became the best fans on this site (and they continue so today).

 

Hopefully, the LC fans will have many opportunities to be ungracious winners.:banana:

When I think of Lincoln County one of the people I associate with them first is Mr. Network. Through my few dealings with them I am certain about that. I think the bottom line here is that a lot of people don't read the entire thread and jump to conclusions. I was never crying about lack of depth, injuries, etc and Mr. Network was simply backing me up as a knowledgable poster to another. I gave LC credit, they played tough defense down the stretch and deserved the win, 21 points was just too much to overcome for the Rockets at this point in the season against a stingy defense that was playing with a lot of momentum at their homefield. Kicking did indeed do the Rockets in, however, they had two 2 point conversons attempts and both failed, had they both worked the ROck would've won 22-21, however, LC stopped them both and LC prevailed. :thumb: Good Luck the rest of the way. I predict now worse than a #2 seed for the Patriots.

Yes Lincoln is indeed young and has very good soph. and junior class, Lincoln is still having problems with getting kids out to play. Since last year several players have left the team for different reasons, there are several soph. and juniors walking the halls at LC that should be playing. What can be done to fix this, this has been going on for about 10 years now, well ever since Jaggers left.

It started before Jaggers left. I think it started in 1994 with the opening of the Middle School. That's just my opinion and many criticize it.
