Rock outgains LC in every category except the scoreboard.

Rushing:

Rock 191

Lincoln 101

Passing:

Rock 83

LC 60

Total Offense:

Rock 271 yards

LC 161 yards

Rock had -34 yards also in sacks or they would've had over 300 yards.

I wouldn't have said this was a major upset if you knew anything about either team. LC with some major speed, at their place and Rock banged up missing two starters and dressing only 35 players. Rock needs some depth.

Miller for Rock had 25 carries for 190 yards.

Guess LC was just lucky.......rc being in the top 10 in 3a

I never said that, I actually credited LC for coming out and hanging tough and bringing their A+ game. I was just stating the obvious. The stats that is. Speed kills and LC has plenty of it to go around. At the same time I am going to credit Rock for holding LC to only 24 yard rushing in the 2nd half. LC had one play that went for 72 yards, the rest of the time they gained 29 yards.

Good job on knockin off the #1 team in the Mountains.

Agreed. Last night, their 8th grade team beat Boyle County's 8th grade team for the first time in several years. Middle school success is usually a good indication of the high school team's future chances.

However, I must add that Boyle's 7th grade team beat Lincoln's 7th grade team (because my son plays on Boyle's 7th grade team:D )

I guess it all depends on what you want to call "several years". LC 11 grade class beat Boyle badly three time their 8th grade year. They also had three wins against Danville.

THEY DIDN`T BEAT ROCK THAT YEAR..............? :flame: :flame: :flame:

No but they did tonight!

DESPITE THE CALLS LATE IN THE GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just heard Rogers checked out OK, he took some hard hits at the end of the game.

Nice win LC, congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No matter how you look at it, a nice win for Lincoln, as Mr. Network stated earlier, probably their first quality win since 2000 or 2001. Their talent level has definitely increased. Hopefully a sign of things to come.

DESPITE THE CALLS LATE IN THE GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What calls?

These two teams could play ten times and they would probably split. I would bet that if this game was played on October 8 and then again on November 8, Rockcastle County would win them both. Don't fret, Rockets...you'll be knocking on that 3A door come Thanksgiving.

Nope the Sultan definitely sees Rockcastle losing those games also....

Oct 8th

Patriots 28

Rockets 13

November 8th

Patriots 52

Rockets 2 (a safety late in the game)

The Sultan... check in hand:fire:

Talked to a friend of mine in Linclon County, he said it was like winning the Super Bowl last night to beat the Rock. O well good win for the Patriots. Im sure Rockcastle will move on, Pre- season is over and the real war begins.
