December 1, 20169 yr When the Hoosiers get opponents in that canyon, the one with steep rows on all sides that funnel noise straight down to floor level, they're nearly unbeatable. Few venues in the nation can match the loudness of that place.

But they're just a very good team who had a really bad night a week ago. With one of their better players who didnt play a lot due to injury. Two wins over #3 ranked teams, one at home and one on a neutral court. Probably the best pair of wins of anyone in the country.

It wasn't just bc it was KY. It was after playing baseball scholarship guys and teams with 8 walk ons and sanctions and winning 2 games. After all that, that win signified something that most folks can't comprehend. It wasn't a championship, it was a meaningless game in December, but to IU fans it was so much more than that. You're right, in Assembly Hall they're almost unbeatable, 5-0 against Top 3 teams since 2011 bears that out, but that court storm had little to do with that one game. It had everything to do with releasing years of frustration.

I just will never understand people bashing others for doing it. Heck when my brothers football team at NewCath beat Beechwood to go to State many moons ago my parents did it lol.

But I don't recall the UK fans storming the court in 1990 after upsetting LSU with Shaq and Chris Jackson or in December of 1990 getting revenge on Kansas for the previous year's 55 point beat down. Kentucky was coming off their first losing season since the 20's, starting Probation, ineligible for Post-Season, playing with a team of "nobody wants" led by Reggie Hanson, Pelphrey, Feldhouse, Miller, and Brassow. I get your point but you also have to realize UK fan's point that even in our darkest hours, the fans didn't storm Rupp Arena.

I get your point but you also have to realize UK fan's point that even in our darkest hours, the fans didn't storm Rupp Arena. It would take 10 minutes for all the students to get down to floor level at Rupp. It's not that you're above that. Just a logistical impossibility. I forgot UK is the barometer for all things that are acceptable in being a fan. My apologies.
