November 30, 20169 yr Three outlets now projecting UK to the Taxslayer Bowl in Jacksonville on December 31. This is formerly the Gator Bowl and a nice landing spot for UK if it happens. They will meet a good Big Ten team if this pans out.

In fairness, some of it is out of default because the SEC has to send teams to obligated bowls, and I'm not sure outside of the major bowls playing on a certain day matters as much anymore. Playing Penn State in the Outback Bowl in '99 (I think) was a big deal. Still an accomplishment given what most thought the season would be.

November 30, 20169 yr The good news is if it is GT you get plenty of time to prepare. It's not like it would be a regular season game where you only have a Week. With that said, I remember GT destroying Dak Prescott and Miss State a couple years ago in the Orange Bowl. The extra time didn't help the Bulldogs.
