Will be swinging by my Father-in-Law's Thursday morning to spend some time with them, then headed to my mother-in-law's for some delicious Fried Turkey and all the fixings for lunch.

 

After sufficiently putting ourselves in a food coma there, we'll be heading to my aunt's for Thanksgiving dinner with my mom's family. Leaving there to have dessert with my dad's family.

 

Lots of running, but with us not making it to any of the Christmas festivities this year, it'll be worth it.

 

Oh, and the wife wants to pick up a new TV on Friday for our basement in lieu of Christmas presents to each other this year.....Done!

Never fall for the "oh, we don't have to get each other a present for Christmas" line. Trust me, it is a test, even if she doesn't show it. Fail to deliver something and this "travesty" will be stored away in the depths of her brain, ready to be unleashed upon you six years from now when you are arguing over which color drapes should go in the living room.

No family around this Thanksgiving besides the wife. Thursday morning will be a local 10K or a swim/spin brick session. We hope to volunteer later that day at a church or Salvation Army. Friday night is the "I Love the 90s" concert that I am stoked for. Saturday I cook the obligatory bird and having over a couple, one of which is in residency; thus, why we can't do this on Thursday. Sunday is "Friendsgiving" with other locals.

Got our volunteer service in order. We are delivering meals to 15 families tomorrow starting at noon.

She said the same thing last year for our anniversary...I got her something anyways. She didn't get me anything and was upset that I had. She doesn't do the whole hidden agenda/meaning bit.

I'll probably put some sort of chicken and stuffing combo in the crock pot and watch the National Dog Show (always enjoy that) and then football. It'll be early to bed, to prepare for the favorite day with my best friend all year, our Black Friday shopping.

Have you ever seen the movie "Best in Show" by Christopher Guest and Eugene Levy? Your post made me think of that movie because it centers around the fictitious Mayflower Dog Show and the people who enter their dogs into the show. It's hilarious!
