November 16, 20169 yr I wonder if the committee members have a conscious or subconscious dislike for Coach Petrino and UL is suffering thereby. Don't get me wrong....I think UL is rated about where they should be but obviously many think they should be higher. This is what my OH State fan boss & Michigan St. fan co-worker have been telling me all day…. (I know the OH St & Mich St parts are irrelevant in this post, but just thought I would throw it in there anyway - lol)….

November 16, 20169 yr Most of my thoughts have been discussed ad nauseam since we have a slight shuffle every week. Still, even thought the committee's opinion is all that matter's, I feel like comparing this selection to the basketball bracket is a mistake. I don't think you can completely rely on resume comparison or completely rely on who our eyes tell us is the best. There is only one major conference where each team even plays each other, and still, you're at the mercy of who you randomly draw at home. Twelve games is such a SMALL sample size. Especially considering scheduling is done years in advance, you really are at the mercy of how other teams play. Of course this is a convenient metric for a Louisville fan, but I personally give weight to comparing what a team does firing on all cylinders and what happens when they play at their worst - or when a team forces them to play a different style. I see Washington losing handily and Clemson and Michigan losing to vastly inferior opponents. Of course beating good teams matters, but I just can't fathom how we can just excuse losses. A loss is just not the same as barely winning.

November 16, 20169 yr Stupid. UofL is a top 4 team in the country. I don't see a path for them. The committee doesn't like them. It's not that. It's the fact their SOS is horrible. I believe I heard they only have 1 win over top 25 team or something like that?

November 17, 20169 yr Michigan losing to Iowa compared to Louisville losing at Clemson, is not even comparable, Louisville should be in and Michigan out period. It will take care of itself I believe when the Buckeye's beat them. If Louisville wins out and does not get in it would be the dumbest thing ever, and I am a Notre Dame fan so you can not say I a homer. They are fun to watch, hard not to like Lamar, I want to see him against Bama.

ACC does their schedule, almost 75% of it, they scheduled a good Houston team, that has lost some games, but pre-season they were legit, and they have a rival game with KY. Oklahoma lost to Houston should be out, Michigan would have 2 losses should be out, Washington lost at home should be out. Just do not get it at all

Just do not get it at all They've played two teams that have a better than .500 record. They aren't going to win their conference. They need Michigan to win. Ohio State wins out and Ohio State is in over them, as would be the winner of the Penn State/Wisconsin B1G title game. Washington wins the Pac-12 title they're in over Louisville. Will have played a much tougher schedule. Oklahoma would be an interesting case, but I think they, like Louisville, need a lot of help to have a chance.
