When are you going to chastise the others for posting how bad the Trump supporters are doing everyone, painting the other side as racist etc? Do you want me to give you the threads they are doing this in? I just posted links to news stories I never wrote that I felt was news worthy considering we have a president elect having alot of death threats. I guess I cant post anything like that right?

I have no issue with you posting the link. I think it highlights some important things that are going on as a result of the election. Assassination talk is disgusting and horrific. The issue is you just had to throw in an insult. You just can't resist taking an opportunity to take shots, then cry foul when you get called out or someone fires back. I don't know anyone on this board who'd advocate or defend assassination talk. We can talk about this stuff without insulting each other.

I don't know where to put this so I'll just toss it here...

 

I want to know how someone can be intolerant of intolerance and not be called out for being intolerant themselves?

 

How does someone point out hypocrisy without being considered hypocritical for doing so?

 

Just about every time an incidence of intolerance and hypocrisy are pointed out those who disagree turn those claims into an opportunity to call someone out for being themselves intolerant and hypocritical while typically ignoring the intolerance and hypocrisy that was initially being addressed.

 

It's a constant cycle of deflection, and it's terribly annoying. People's legitimate points are forever being shot down with an "I know you are but what am I? childlike mentality.

 

It would seriously be refreshing to see discussions that avoided this type of dialogue, but I suppose that asking for it would be like asking or the moon

The "tolerant" left would much rather be tolerant to illegals rather than their own countrymen. I'm in disbelief of what is happening. It may have been the same way had Hillary won I'm not really sure but I can whole heartedly tell you had she won I wouldn't be participating in this stuff.
