November 1, 20169 yr I would have a lot more respect for Kasich if he had not made the pledge to support whoever won the GOP primary.

November 1, 20169 yr That political hack would have been POTUS if Republicans would have nominated him. Probably by a landslide. Even scarier!! Also, if you recall; Kasich (and many others) were polling well behind Hillary in hypothetical head to heads?
November 1, 20169 yr Why is it a wasted vote? McCain had his chance and lost. Why vote for him now?? I understand we are free to write in anyone we like, but when you've pledged to the voters to support your party's candidate; and then renege, you've lost any respect I had for you. Of course lying to the voters is just like breathing for the political class in this country.

Of course lying to the voters is just like breathing for the political class in this country. Does it change anything if he voted for Cookie Monster? If you want to call him out for reneging on his support for the party's candidate, that's a different argument. But to call the vote wasted I don't understand. As far as reneging, Trump would not commit to support the party's candidate if he didn't win so maybe Kasich is returning the favor. Can't say I blame him.
