I'm not sure anybody in 1A played a tougher schedule than Fairview.

 

Only Raceland did and it is a virtual tie between those two for toughest schedule.

This is my concern for the Polar Bears.....you consider a win over Bath Co as a quality win. Bath Co. was blown out in the grid @ Raceland (vs Raceland) and Fairview defeated them 46-6 as well. No one in our area considers Bath County as a strong team. Last week, Nicholas defeated Bath Co. 20-12. I just don't know if Bracken's district is strong enough to play with ours. I guess we will see in 2 days. Trust me, I mean no disrespect with this post. Raceland fans never underestimate their opponents and almost NEVER pull for Fairview. LOL This is just me looking at the schedules and results plus hearing people discuss which wins were "quality" wins.

I'd say it's roughly a two hour drive. Google maps has it at 93 miles between schools.

They certainly did play a tough schedule, far better than the loaded with "lil' sisters of the poor" teams they always played years ago. One huge advantage for Bracken will be that they're not playing this one in the mossy bottom that the team in Westwood plays.

I was speaking ones long before that. I can't remember the exact season but one year they were riding high on an unbeaten 9-0 season going into the rival Raceland game, of those 9 wins ...the combined no. of wins of their opponet's was 9. They played a alot of those kind of schedules.

Every win besides Dayton, Switzerland. However Fairview is arguably the best team they have played all year.

I'd say its a toss-up between Fairview and Nicholas for the best team they've played. If tomorrow's game is as good as the Bracken/Nicholas game, then it will be enjoyable for all involved.

Brossart not in the mix on that one? They did beat them by 20 with a backup QB and a starting offensive lineman out.
