I don't disagree that they have three great programs in Louisville. I argue that, if everyone could recruit or have open enrollment, then those three programs would not be as dominant as they are. Not saying they would not win, just saying it would be more competitive.

 

Closed enrollment is a self imposed limitation and if you have evidence of recruiting for athletic purposes report it to the KHSAA.

have regular season 11 games, just let the playoffs start week later and only the top 2 from districts make playoffs. When your season ends on a running clock, that's a bad feeling.

I disagree with you in that I think Jefferson Co. schools NOT having neighborhood schools has hurt their overall success and balance. Currently, there are many Jefferson Co. public school football programs that are not competitive. That has not always been the case. In years past, many more of the Jefferson Co. teams were competitive. Now it is pretty much Male, Trinity, and sometimes St. X with Manual and PRP on the fringe.

Technically there's a tie to break in District 7 so no official bracket. However, it's almost a given Bryan Station will be the 2-seed, Dunbar the 3, and Henry Clay the 4.

Word circulating at Marshall Stadium is U of L said no to hosting a rematch of St X vs Trinity. This is due to 2pm kickoff with UK the following Saturday. No guarantee either team will make it to round four. It is fun thinking about hosting the Tigers in St. Matthews.

 

Sure hope this happens!! The playoff rematch when it happens is always so poorly attended, what a great atmosphere this would be & a sellout for sure! I've heard the stadium w/ standing room could hold around 6800, correct me if I'm wrong.

Do we know what the tie breaker is? Station doesn't have anymore games, Henry Clay plays Campbell Co. & Dunbar plays Boyle Co.

Henry Clay is 2-6

 

Either way, someone out of this group is going to play Ryle, Conner or Cooper & the results are probably not going to favor the any of the Lexington schools in this scenario.

I was at both those games & believe those numbers are highly inflated, although it was packed for sure. I highly doubt the fire marshall would allow 10,000 in that stadium, lol.

No chance. It would be Trinity's home game. If it happens it would either happen at PJCS or Marshall Stadium. Manual Stadium is dilapidated, grass and parking is a nightmare. Three strikes and you're out.
