Word circulating at Marshall Stadium is U of L said no to hosting a rematch of St X vs Trinity. This is due to 2pm kickoff with UK the following Saturday. No guarantee either team will make it to round four. It is fun thinking about hosting the Tigers in St. Matthews.

Could Marshall Stadium handle a crowd like that? Are there any other stadium options? Could UofL ask them to play on Thursday or Sunday?

Think I'll head up there today after lunch to get a seat - just in case they both advance that far.

The tie breaker in D7 is really just academic.

Scott Co has the #1 seed locked up and the other three should be ...

#2 Bryan Station (currently 16 points)

#3 Dunbar (5)

#4 Henry Clay (1)

It's ridiculous how lopsided that bracket is from top to bottom.

Top bracket has more good teams, no doubt. The final 8, if it goes chalk, will be pretty well representation of the best in the class, though. Agree?

Male

St X

Central Hardin

Trinity

Ryle

Scott Co

Simon

Lafayette

The Top 4 would be the Final Four if the bracket was set up how it should be.

Hmm... If I remember correctly Marshall can handle 5K sitting with a good amount of standing room left over. It doesn't have the months worth of planning and the tailgating opportunity of the regular season game, but either St. X or Male (whoever wins the rematch) would be a good draw. Even so, renting Cardinal stadium might not be cost-effective, especially if the weather is poor.

Manual (and maybe PRP) would be top eight before Central Hardin, but otherwise you're right.

Logistically it would be very difficult but what a great atmosphere it would be.

I wish they would get away from Papa Johns for the playoffs anyway.

How should it be set up?

Agreed. 7 out of 8 ain't too bad though.

I am guessing he wants the teams to be seeded. And all the top seeds should be from Jefferson County.

They're the best teams aren't they. What's wrong with actually having a setup where the best teams could actually play for a championship?

I have yet to see a team out in the state with a legitimate argument to be ahead of T, H, and X if we seeded it.
