This might be the most physical, hard hitting game of the entire 2016 season. Every yard will be earned the hard way. Hopefully, both teams escape this one relatively injury free. I'll take JC in a close one.

To those wondering about the teams sitting players out and not playing hard, why even schedule this level of an opponent if you aren't going to play hard? If you have state title aspirations, playing a high quality opponent like this is the best thing you can do to get ready for a state title game.

So before Matney came to Johnson Central, Belfry had won the first 22 games in the series? That's a domination. Did they play regularly or sporadic throughout the 70s, 80s, 90s, and 2000s?

They were in the same district through most of the 70s, 80s and 90s. When JC moved up in classification, the series ended, mostly because of the one-sided nature of it. They played a few times in the mid 90s in the same district again. Then after Matney arrived, the series started back up again in 2007

I think this is one game that could go down to the last possession, or it could get out of control if either team turns the ball over.

 

We don't get too many #1 vs #1 matchups, I'm surprised there isn't much chatter about it.

I'm going to say neither team scores in the 30s, both teams have to punt a few times and field position plays a key role.
