Jesse James Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Obama’s half-brother will be at Vegas debate cheering for Trump | Page Six From the Article: President Obama’s Kenyan-born, half-brother Malik will be in the audience in Las Vegas Wednesday night when Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton square off in their third and final debate. Malik — an American citizen who lives in Washington, DC, when he’s not in Kenya — says he will be a guest of Trump, the Republican nominee he supports for president. “I’m excited to be at the debate. Trump can make America great again,” Malik told The Post. “I look very much forward to meeting and being with Malik,” Trump said. “He gets it far better than his brother.”

4chs Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 I have no idea if Trump, or the people who advise him, really believe stunts such as this can boost his chances.:idunno:I kind of think that he would be better off talking about issues that a lot of people still have concerns about and believe that Clinton has no answers for, or the wrong answers for. I guess he has to do it his own Reality TV way though.:banghead:
Voice of Reason Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 What is the purpose and how does Trump benefit by doing this? Can anyone answer that question?

I guess he has to do it his own Reality TV way though.:banghead: It's hard for me to believe he is taking this process seriously. It's hard for me to believe that a man who has made billions of dollars would fumble this opportunity over and over and over and over. He's an idiot but he isn't stupid. He's not dumb. He's managed to lose and recoup more money than I will ever see in any of my bank accounts. How he managed to win the nomination and throw away this election is beyond me. He didn't want to win. He never wanted to win and no one will ever convince me otherwise. I think all he wanted to do was win the nomination but he doesn't want to be POTUS. Too much responsibility. He'd lose too much money and even he realizes that being POTUS means he can't entertain and that's what he really wants to do. He doesn't want to govern. He wants to entertain. He's already proven his point and he has managed to build his base in the process. People will be throwing money at him for the rest of his life now because he took on the establishment and the establishment pounded him into the sand. Hillary wins the election but Trump won the game. Which is exactly how this election was planned to play out once the players were established.
Sportsaholic Mamaw Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 What is the purpose and how does Trump benefit by doing this? Can anyone answer that question? None. Not any benefit for campaign purposes. Maybe they met somewhere on the campaign trail?
UKMustangFan Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Why should anyone care what President Obama's half-brother is doing?
mcpapa Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Why should anyone care what President Obama's half-brother is doing? I don't know, but someone must have cared enough to take the time to start a thread on it. And will this energize the Republican base? I'm not seeing it.

He doesn't really want to win, but doesn't want to lose either, so he is going to go down screaming that he was cheated.

A lot of truth in this post, I believe. While I won't be watching, the final debate may offer some insight. If he brushes off the barbs and criticisms and sticks to the core issues, maybe I'll believe that he's serious. Although less than three weeks out may be a little late for it to matter.

He's saying it for effect and it will work amongst his supporters. IMO he is being disingenuous on purpose for the desired effect he is now getting.
