Here's an interesting question....What would happen if Trump ended up winning the election, then come just before Inauguration Day, he decided he didn't want to be POTUS? Would Pence become President by the succession line? Would it go to the House?

It's hard for me to believe he is taking this process seriously. It's hard for me to believe that a man who has made billions of dollars would fumble this opportunity over and over and over and over. He's an idiot but he isn't stupid. He's not dumb. He's managed to lose and recoup more money than I will ever see in any of my bank accounts. How he managed to win the nomination and throw away this election is beyond me. He didn't want to win. He never wanted to win and no one will ever convince me otherwise. I think all he wanted to do was win the nomination but he doesn't want to be POTUS. Too much responsibility. He'd lose too much money and even he realizes that being POTUS means he can't entertain and that's what he really wants to do. He doesn't want to govern. He wants to entertain. He's already proven his point and he has managed to build his base in the process. People will be throwing money at him for the rest of his life now because he took on the establishment and the establishment pounded him into the sand. Hillary wins the election but Trump won the game. Which is exactly how this election was planned to play out once the players were established.

 

I agree with most of what you said. I don't believe he is a very smart man, however.

When it comes down to governing is boring and monotonous. HRC may end up being one of our better ones because she is political nerd that will pour herself into.

 

Donald likes the show. He got it and will get to keep it, because about 30% will always feel disenfranchised from both sides of the aisle.

To the topic of the thread, what in the world is the advantage to inviting President Obama's brother? He's not debating President Obama. And Malik Obama is a Kenyan citizen. I am not getting this move at all.

Just sitting down for a bit, besides the comic relief this provides, there is one troubling aspect.

 

Trump is also bringing Pat Smith, whose son was killed in Benghazi. That's serious and somber. I know the whole thing is politicized, but she lost her son and that just has to be respected and acknowledged in a decent way. She chooses to come to the debate, but I don't think that means she should be brought into the fray, so to speak.

 

But then Trump goes and brings the half-brother from Kenya. I don't know, to me, it is an insult, by Trump, to Ms. Smith. She lost her son, she is not part of a sideshow, and this action by Trump feels that way to me. Feels exploitative.
