cshs81 Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 The margin surprised me a bit. Big win for GC.
h.s.sportsrbest Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 The win surprised me..Nice job GC! Ditto FF.
FairFan Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 Ludow has one of the best CB in NKY, I am surprised Grant Co. scored that much. Anyone have any stats?
letabrotherspeak Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 Surprised by this score...at least the margin of victory.
Cougar Nation Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 I was at the Game; I don't think Grant was that much better than Ludlow. The margin was due to the fact that Ludlow couldn't hold on to the ball. They had at least 2 fumbles and an interception, all of which gave Grant very short fields. But you have to give Grant Credit for not making many mistakes.
BIGZIG Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 Ludlow made several costly errors and turnovers at very crucial times and Grant Cty took advantage of the opportunities. Congrats to Grant Cty.
BIGZIG Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 Yep You should have come. 2 of your former teammates from the State Champoinship team were put into the Ludlow Hall of Fame (Wayne Troxel and Nick Scharf) along with Jimmy Dunoft (1964) Charlie Margolen (1975) and Dwaine York (1975). A Few of your other teammates as well were there. Hall of Famers Matt Jones and Scott Ross along with Rick Hamm and I know a couple others that I'm forgetting.
futurecoach Posted September 3, 2006 Posted September 3, 2006 Is Dayton that much better than Ludlow? I dont think so, but based on the results of how they both did against Grant it would look like that though. But for anyone who saw the game knows that Ludlow played one of their worst games they could play that night. Grant on mostly all of their touchdowns only had to go 30 yards or less to score because of a Ludlow turnover. So right now in this point of the season you MAYBE could say Dayton is better, but Ludlow is also breaking in a brand new Varsity QB who didn't even practice at the QB position last year. So as the year goes on Ludlow will only get better once they get more experience. So it will be a really interesting battle this year between Ludlow, Dayton, Bellevue and even Holy Cross to see who ends up getting those final 2 playoff spots...
GoDeep12 Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 Ludow has one of the best CB in NKY, I am surprised Grant Co. scored that much. Anyone have any stats? Cory Gilbert had 141 rushing yards on 13 carries and a touchdown
BIGZIG Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 Cory Gilbert had 141 rushing yards on 13 carries and a touchdown :thumb: Cory has played well on both sides of the ball for the Panthers so far this season..
