October 9, 20169 yr Well the Bengals have had embarrassing games in the past during the last 5 years. The last one was 2 years ago on prime time against the Browns. Didn't look like there was anyway they could bounce back but they did the next week. So if we were going to win one of these 2 the Pat's would be the better to win. Even though we all thought the win would be today.

October 9, 20169 yr Well next week they play a ticked off New England team Outlier game next week, can't use it to gauge team for good or bad.
October 9, 20169 yr This just not a very good team right now. Thankfully, the schedule gets much easier after next week, but playing like this won't matter. They will still win 9 or 10 and go down to the wire for a WC.
October 9, 20169 yr Outlier game next week, can't use it to gauge team for good or bad. But if the Patriots stomp the Bengals next week as expected couldn't you then use the 2-4 record to gauge the team?

October 10, 20169 yr But if the Patriots stomp the Bengals next week as expected couldn't you then use the 2-4 record to gauge the team? I don't think so, if they lose as expected...what is there to learn? Yes you can start looking at the season as a whole, my bigger point was that teams will throw clunkers out and in a one game view it really doesn't mean much.
