October 9, 201610 yr Again, Bengals no blitz and Bengals can't cover. Old, old story. Been one of the best defenses in the nfl the last 5 years by doing what they do. Some teams are good blitzing, some teams are not. The only thing old about it is you complaining to blitz more when that is not what made the a top defense the last 5 years. What they need to do is stop the dang run though.

I don't care about the last five years. We have a new DC over that time span. All successful NFL teams blitz. You got a rookie QB and third and long and we give him all day to throw the ball. THe DC coordinator is in over his head. You just keep saying that while the Bengals win about six games this year.

Bengals are top 10 defense this year.

You sang that song and dance last year and the Bengals set a record for fewest points allowed in franchise history and was second in the nfl. The Seattle Seahawks have been a top defense in the nfl and won a super bowl and been to another and they were not a blitzing team either. So sorry to tell you all successful defenses don't blitz. The majority of nfl teams would love to have our defense. Well except today because they can't stop the run. Also yes their passing game will look great today because they can't stop the run. You also realize the Bengals are 10th in the nfl in pass defense this year.
October 9, 201610 yr Under Zim they blitzed a LOT more. No they did not. Go check the amount of blitzes under him if you like. What Zim did was show the double A gap blitz but the majority of time they dropped out of it and relied on their front four.
October 9, 201610 yr Just awful performance thus far. This is not a playoff type team. Agreed with this though. Ugly all the way around.
October 9, 201610 yr I also know we have gave up a lot of big plays on third down, they just covered a WR with a lineman and just gave up another passing TD.
