Which brings my next opinion, to not have an almost 2,000 point player and the guy who had 27 vs Mercer county (12th region title Game) in top 5 players again is crazy. Noah Young? Really? Let's be honest about this he's a good player but not in conversation for a top 5 player.

 

Keep in mind that these rankings are simply an average of what was returned to Les by the coaches. So, if you know any 12th region coaches, your beef is with them.

Agree. Smith is a top 5 player. I think Faulkner and Fitzgerald are the top 2 regardless of which one you put first. After that, I think Gover then Smith. Sylvester, Gentry and Young after that.

 

The team ratings are a little surprising. Can anyone tell me who did and didn't stay at Southwest? I don't know. Leaving them out for the moment, considering how teams finished the year and who these teams return, how could the coaches not have voted for Casey and Rock in the top 5? Pulaski is the clear favorite. Assuming Southwest retained enough, that'd be my top 4 teams. After that, I'd probably have Lincoln, West and Mercer on the outside looking in. Possibly Boyle.

Rock has their best player out recovering from hip surgery. He may be back after first of year and maybe not. I think Southwestern is the 2 behind Pulaski co.

Southwestern will be a good team.. a lot of guards who shoot the 3.

 

Gover, Stevens, Cundiff, Cromer, Dykes will be their main contributors I'd guess.

Somerset seems to be ranked in a good spot.. return pretty much their whole team from last yr. 47th district will be tough.

Only problem I would have had with the rankings is if Trevon wasn't at the top of the player rankings.

I think Mercer is probably somewhere in the lower half of the top 10. It is going to be interesting to see how well this team comes together with the new Coach and lots and lots of new faces playing meaningful minutes on the varsity team. Gunnar Gillis is a very good player and should help, atleast a little, as it pertains to filling some of the holes left by graduation. This is most likely a building year for my Titans, but I look forward to it it none the less!

 

I agree that West Jess and Casey are both, atleast in my eyes, better than Mercer. You could also say that Rock and Boyle belong there too. Boyle county's freshman are unreal! I agree that Pulaski is the clear favorite, adding both Butt and Fitzgerald.

 

Does anyone know much about Wayne this year? I've not read much about them at all and find it interesting that they don't seem to have, atleast one, all region type player.
