FWIW.... I'm pretty sure the way it is done is the rankings are done by all of the coaches that respond to the questionnaire/email sent to them.

Well that's been a hot topic in every 12th region thread for 3 years, but it'll be interesting to see if those same posters follow him to a new region or if they were just hometown haters trying to stir the pot.

In fairness the hometown haters didn't become the hometown haters until after he left. The Casey County folks on here loved him until then. His haters weren't from Casey County until he left.

I guess that is true. Love him or hate him...have to acknowledge that he won a district championship and took the team to the region tournament year after year. Hard to argue against that. :thumb:

I've got the list to everything. I'm the one that does the 12th Region Boys and Girls Previews each year. I email/text every coach questions and request their top 10 players of the region and top 10 teams of the region and then I compile them. I had a great response this year.

I do not know all the players, but it looks like the coaches did right at the top of the list. Having Trevon at the top is not a controversial choice for most people is it?

Nice group of 12th region players. These list are all hard to put together. Are you basing it on best high school player, best college potential, best offers, etc.? You can argue top 3-5 in any order and not look crazy..12th will be highly competitive again.

I'm basing it on what the coaches sent back in to me.

I feel like West Jessamine and Lincoln County will be better than Mercer County.

 

Southwestern at #2 or #3 seems right.

I'd start Boyle County at around #7.

Just as I suspected, comedy. Casey is top 5, easy. Not me being bias, just being real. But it's not how ya start, it's how you finish.

Casey county not in the top 5 is crazy. Return 3 (4) year starters and the best scorer in school history in Jake smith. Which brings my next opinion, to not have an almost 2,000 point player and the guy who had 27 vs Mercer county (12th region title Game) in top 5 players again is crazy. Noah Young? Really? Let's be honest about this he's a good player but not in conversation for a top 5 player.
