Top 4 After Week 5.

Who are your top 4 after this week?

1a. Bama

1b. Ohio State

3. Washington

4. Michigan

As much as it pains me to put Michigan there. I was unimpressed with UofL and Clemson last night. I don't like teams that turn the ball over like both of them do. Clemson has a lot to work on if they want to get back to the NC.

Don't get me wrong. I have Clemson and UofL at 5 and 6. I'm not a fan of either, but if I was the turnovers would scare me. Both of those teams have NC aspirations. You can't turn the ball over against a Nick Saban or Urban Meyer coached team. It's not about comparing them to each other or the rest of the ACC it's comparing them to the rest of the country.

Bama 1, OSU 2.

Clemson has to be ranked over Louisville because of the win but those two along with Michigan, Houston and Washington all seem to be close.

If pressed I'd say:

1) Bama

2) OSU

3) Michigan

4) Clemson

5) Houston

6) Washington

7) U of L

I think Louisville is better than Washington and maybe Houston though.

Bama

Ohio State

Michigan

Clemson

Washington and Houston just behind at 5 and 6.

That's how I see it.

I think it's the other way around. I think Louisville may be better than Washington, I think they are better than Houston.

1-Bama

2-Ohio St.

3-Clemson

4-Michigan

5-Washington

6-Texas A&M

7-Louisville

8-Houston

1. Alabama

2. Ohio State/Michigan winner. (I don't see any reason to rank them both. The loser will be out.)

3. Clemson

4. Washington

Not necessarily. If it's a close game I think it will be between UofL and the loser for that 4th spot. I think Washington has a cake walk to the playoffs, easier than anyone else by far, but I just see them slipping up somewhere along the line. The Big XII will have at least 2 losses so they're out. It just comes down to how good Louisville looks against Houston vs. how good Ohio State and Michigan look against each other. I like the loser of the OSU/ Mich game chances over UofL simply because of SOS. By the time they play Michigan, Ohio State will play 4 ranked teams. UofL will have played 2.

I'll buy a 1 loss Michigan over a 1 loss Louisville based on being a historically important program or having a popular coach, but no way on SOS. Honestly, I think there's an argument to be made that it is on at least on par with OSU's as well.
