Yes that was a very impressive jump by the Dayton district.

No wonder you see athletes going to Beechwood and Highlands. Great academic schools which put quality teams on the field too.(well...normally do).

That's an interesting jump in numbers from Beechwood elementary to high school.

Its nice seeing two Covington Independent Schools do well too in Glenn O Swing Elementary and Latonia. Latonia was a proficient school, and Glenn O Swing for the third year in a row was Distinguished, and ranked 20th in the whole state.

I'll always support the importance of mentors, parents, grandparents teaching the value of education to todays youth.

 

There are good educations to be had at most schools in NKY. Just a matter of engagement from students, as well as, teachers!

 

I think these numbers reflect how certain areas "depict the importance" of valuing an education!

Not NKY but big S/O to Robertson County Schools for being ranked 7th overall!

Somerset High jumped to 15th overall!

 

I know we aren't NKY, just wanted to brag about our kids!

I think it's time for the Grove to be absorbed by Campbell Co.

 

From the Article.......The worst news is in the Silver Grove Independent School District, which is the lowest-ranked district in the state, at 173. It dropped 11 spots from last year. All three of the district's schools are ranked near the bottom: Silver Grove High School is 227 out of 228, Silver Grove Middle School is 317 out of 326, and Silver Grove Elementary is 707 out of 709.

Where is the main link to the study? I'd like to see how the surrounding schools where I live did.

Boone County High school is the highest ranked high school in the Boone County school district which includes Ryle, Cooper, and Conner. Boone Co H.S. is in the top four in NKY behind Beechwood, Walton Verona, and Highlands. It is at least the second year in a row that Boone was tops in the district.

 

Not bad for an "inner city" school. Boone often gets a bad rap. The education you get there is exceptionally good.

 

I just wanted to speak up and tell you I am proud of Boone County High School.

So what do these results really tell us?

 

Certain districts are better test takers than others?

 

Certain districts are better at memorization?

 

Do they really tell us if the students have learned anything?
